Biking is one of the best outdoor activities to keep your kids active this summer. It’s an awesome way for kids to get their daily exercise in while still maintaining a safe distance from others.

If your child not yet riding confidently on two wheels, don’t sweat it — Pedalheads has you covered with their learn-to-ride bike camps! New to Boston this year, Pedalheads specializes in helping kids as young as 3 years old take their training wheels off and ride on their own — often within one week!

Why Pedalheads?

Helping even the most tentative of kids, they focus on safety, fun, and skills. More than anything, they want to build confidence and a love of biking within their campers! For those with kids already riding independently, Pedalheads also offers advanced levels that teach kids how to ride safely on the road. Since 1995, they have taught more than 500,000 kids all over North America how to ride with confidence!

Their program includes:
 A progression of six instructional levels
 Three-hour half-day camps
 Seven-hour all-day camps
 Private lessons
 Before- and after-care options

Kids get lots of time on their bikes learning and playing games, navigating obstacle courses, and challenging themselves with a variety of activities in a safe environment. They also take bathroom, snack, and water breaks to ensure they stay hydrated and engaged!

COVID-19 response

Pedalheads understands the hesitancy around putting kids in any programs this summer. To ensure the health and safety of all camp participants, they have implemented a robust COVID-19 plan that includes physical distancing, small and stable classes with the same instructor, enhanced cleaning procedures, health checks, and more.

Additionally, their camps are inherently safe in nature as they are held outdoors where kids mostly stay on their bikes, creating additional physical distancing between kids and groups.

“My kids have attended the summer bike camp for the past 3 years. My youngest was so excited it was his turn the summer of 2020. He learned how to ride a bike by day #2! I felt completely safe sending them to camp as all the city/state requirements for Covid summer 2020 were met. It was a great to experience a sense of normal by attending camp.” – Sara

Let Pedalheads take out the back pain and frustration that comes with teaching kids to ride a bike, and enjoy the benefits of fun family rides afterward! With more than 25+ years of experience, put your trust in this popular, parent program staple.
