I am a huge believer in loving where you live, and have taken it upon myself to coordinate activities and events for my family’s neighborhood on the South Shore. I love having a reason to mingle and get to know my neighbors, and we have started some super fun traditions that I hope my children will remember when they are grown.

For the last three years, I have hosted a back-to-school ice cream social in our front yard. What started as my way of celebrating the end of summer and my first baby heading to kindergarten has evolved to a neighborhood event, and it’s something we have all come to look forward to.

This year, I hired Blanche’s Gourmet Ice Cream to come and serve our neighbors. I had stumbled upon Blanche’s on social media and loved the whimsical branding, homemade waffle cones (drool!) and the fact that the business was woman-owned. I contacted Kate and the rest is history!

Blanche’s Gourmet Ice Cream is Owned and Operated by Kate Amendola, a Woburn native who was tired of the corporate grind and wanted to find more joy in her work.

Coincidentally, she is now bringing joy all over Greater Boston in her Ice Cream truck! Serving Richardson’s ice cream & dishing out homemade waffle cones, bowls and tacos, Blanche’s is sure to have something YOU love.

Where to Find Blanche's This Fall

A visit from Blanche’s Ice Cream would be perfect for a wedding or baby shower, a corporate event, a neighborhood tradition (like ours!) or a birthday party! Coordinating with Kate was a breeze and I highly recommend her truck for your celebrations!

Thank you for visiting our neighborhood, Blanche's! Our neighbors all paid for their own treats, and the opinions expressed here are all my own.
